SPRING SEASON 2011 - Race Schedule

For VASRA Regattas an event schedule is usually posted by Thursday of race week, this can be found by going to:
VASRA Schedule and clicking the name of the race. This schedule is subject to last minute changes. Coaches will tell athletes what time to arrive for races, always several hours before race time.

February 22 - First day of Spring Season, water practice commences at Bull Run Marina, weather permitting. Practices are Monday through Friday after school and most Saturday mornings.
March 27 - Polar Bear Regatta at Sandy Run Marina (Upper Boats only)
March 29-April 2 - Spring Break – CREW PRACTICE CONTINUES!! No practice Friday, April 2 - Sunday April 4
April 1 - All Boats - Sandy Run Invitational, Robinson/Whitman/Westfield at 2:30 pm - 1st race for Novices!
April 10 - Upper Boats - Anacostia Invitational, Wilson, Gonzaga (Boys), Georgetown Visitation (Girls), Westfield
Lower Boats - Darrell Winslow Regatta at Sandy Run
April 11 (Sunday) - Entire team spreads mulch to raise $$$ for the team
April 17 - Upper Boats - Potomac Invitational, BCC, St. Alban's (Boys), National Cathedral (Girls), Westfield
Lower Boats - Smokey Jacobs Regatta at Sandy Run
April 24 - All Boats - Al Urqia Regatta at Sandy Run
May 1 - Lower Boats - Ted Phoenix Regatta (State Finals for Lower Boats only) at Sandy Run Marina. End of season for lower boats.
May 8 - Upper Boats - VASRA State Finals at Sandy Run
May 28 - 29 - SRAA Championship Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY (Nationals – Qualifying boats only)
June 6 (Sunday) - End of Season Banquet at Bull Run Regional Park
