April 12th is Mulch Day! (Rain date April 19th) This is a mandatory event and one of our biggest fundraisers of the year (approx $6,000)!
Be sure to bring work gloves, rakes, wheel barrows if you have, and dress appropriately for the weather and bring snacks and water. A GPS or Map will be needed for drivers.
Arrival Time: NLT 8:45am (Drivers, please plan to arrive by 8:30)
Meeting Place: Virginia Run's Pool House Parking Lot
Spreading: 9:00 - until finished! The more spreaders the sooner we will be done and can enjoy lunch! (Drivers will provide transportation).
Lunch will be held at the Arnold's home, 15021 Greymont Dr., Centreville, 2 - 4 pm.

This is a mandatory event. We realize conflicts happen, but everyone needs to make their best effort to participate. Please let me know ASAP if you will not be able to participate. If I don't hear from you, I will assume that you will be there. NO SHOWS will make the rest of the team work harder and longer. We must all work together to make this event a success. We have 2000+ bags to mulch!! Crews will be made up of boys and girls. I understand you may want to stay with your friends but dividing the work load between both will help the work go much faster. There will also be ATTENDANCE sign-up sheets. This will help me assign work crews and let me know who didn't show up without notification.
Adults, 18 and over, are needed to drive and supervise mulch spreaders. Thank you to the parents that have let me know that they will be able to drive. We only have 6 drivers signed up so far and we need 18-20! There will be 2 drivers per work crew. Please email Kathy Niccum at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up as a driver.
If you plan to drive, please let me know so I can put you on the list as driving. I will need to know how many rowers you can take as well as your cell phone number to be able to get updates on your progress. I haven't heard from any of you yet!! JUST SHOWING UP AT THE LAST MINUTE WILL DELAY ANY ASSIGNMENT OF CREWS.
